Visit a Traditional Tribal House

In the United States, the Hoonah Indian Association (HIA) and National Park Service (NPS) are cooperatively building a traditional Tribal House in Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska. The 2,500-square-foot building, which has been designed using photographs and historical accounts, is slated for completion in 2016 to coincide with the 100th Anniversary of the NPS. The building will be a replica of the Huna Tribal Houses that stood on these ancestral lands more than 250 years ago.
